The initial step is consultation with the client to determine their unique requirements, preferences, expectations as well as the budget allowance for the project.
Site evaluations are conducted in order to:
- identify key areas of focus,
- sections that may be problematic or not conducive to certain design elements
- determine Soil quality & nutritional requirements
- elevation, drainage & general topography
- advise on weed control
- to determine the initial site preparation requirements
- the locality of municipal site furnishings
- measurements are taken on site for comparison to the construction plan
- photographs for reference purposes
- identify alien invasive plants present on site
- identification of pests & diseases
